CABLE LOCATING & GPR SERVICES
Cable locating and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) services are two different types of services related to the detection and mapping of underground utilities and structures.
Cable locating is the process of identifying and marking the location of buried utilities, such as electrical cables, water pipes, and gas lines. This is important for preventing accidental damage during construction, excavation, or drilling. Cable locating equipment uses electromagnetic signals to detect the location of buried utilities and can accurately identify the depth and direction of the utility.
GPR services, on the other hand, use radar technology to map the subsurface of the ground and identify buried structures, such as pipelines, foundations, and underground storage tanks. This technology sends electromagnetic pulses into the ground, which bounce back to the surface and are recorded by a GPR unit. The data is then analyzed to create a detailed map of the subsurface, which can be used for construction, engineering, and environmental applications.
